Man Arrested In Italy For Murdering 2 Australian Women In 1977

A 65-yr-old man was arrested in Rome for the 1977 murders of Suzanne Armstrong and Susan Bartlett in Melbourne. Their bodies were found with multiple stab wounds, and Armstrong had been raped. Known as the Easey Street murders, the case was Australia’s longest cold case. The suspect, a dual Greek-Australian citizen, was arrested under an Interpol notice; extradition to Australia is planned.
