Grok-1.5, an enhanced version of Elon Musk’s chatbot Grok, was introduced today by his artificial intelligence start-up, xAI. Early testers and existing Grok users will soon be able to access the new version on the social media platform X, which was once known as Twitter, according to the business. In a statement, xAI stated that “one of the most notable improvements in Grok-1.5 is its performance in coding and math-related tasks.”
Grok vs Grok 1.5 Performance:
Grok performed well on the GSM8K benchmark, scoring 62.9%, and the MATH benchmark, scoring 23.9%. With scores of 90% on the GSM8K benchmark and 50.6% on the MATH benchmark, Grok 1.5 demonstrated notable progress. Additionally, it demonstrated better code generation and problem-solving skills with a score of 74.1% on the HumanEval benchmark.
Recognizing A Lengthy Context:
Grok’s capacity to comprehend extended contexts was restricted. Up to 128,000 tokens, or even longer text passages, can now be understood and processed by Grok 1.5. This makes it more effective at finding and using information from larger documents, which increases its usefulness when extracting particular details from lengthy texts.
Infrastructure:
Grok used the infrastructure that was already in place to operate. A proprietary distributed training system based on JAX, Rust, and Kubernetes serves as the foundation for Grok 1.5. Big language models may be trained in a flexible manner on big GPU (graphic processing unit) clusters thanks to this architecture, which contributes to a robust and dependable training process with fewer errors or delays.
Accessibility:
Grok can be used at this time. Grok 1.5 is going to be available for early testers, and there are plans to roll it out more widely soon. In order to make the platform even better, xAI has asked users to submit comments.
