The Drugs Control Department warned Telangana medical shop owners against selling antibiotics without a doctor’s prescription. Show-cause notices were issued to 190 shops. Officials cautioned that improper antibiotic use can cause antimicrobial resistance, a serious health risk, and emphasized that all sales must follow valid doctor prescriptions.
