The Centre appointed 8 Chief Justices to High Courts, days after the Supreme Court Collegium recommended their names. Justice Valluri Kameswar Rao will head Patna HC and Justice Ravindra V Ghuge will lead Calcutta HC. New CJs were also appointed for Rajasthan, Bombay, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh and Punjab-Haryana.
