Union Minister Nitin Gadkari said India’s EV market could reach ₹20 lakh crore by 2030 and create nearly 5 crore jobs. India already has over 57 lakh EVs, but adoption is only 7%. Gadkari highlighted the need to increase electric bus production, reduce fuel imports and support cleaner transport for stronger economic growth.
