Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said India’s defence production rose from Rs 46,000 crore in 2014 to nearly Rs 1.80 lakh crore, while exports increased from Rs 1,000 crore to Rs 39,000 crore. He announced a new Rs 472-crore tank facility in Jabalpur, which will overhaul 80 tanks yearly and support India’s self-reliance.
