Pilot Smit Machchhar is stable and recovering at an Abu Dhabi hospital after being injured in the cockpit attack. India’s UAE Ambassador Deepak Mittal said Machchhar was “smiling, laughing, and chatting” despite some discomfort. He was initially treated in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia, before being transferred to Abu Dhabi for further care.
