President Droupadi Murmu congratulated boxer Kapil Pokhariya and wrestler Sunil Kumar for winning bronze at the Asian Games 2026. Kapil lost his 90kg semifinal to Uzbekistan's Turabek Khabibullaev 1-4. Sunil beat the Philippines' Callum Johnston Roberts 9-0 in Greco-Roman 87kg, becoming the first Indian with two Greco-Roman Asian Games medals.
