Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) president and Chief Minister Vijay accused the AIADMK of becoming an "offshoot" of the DMK during a campaign in Dharapuram for the October 6 bypoll. He said his government would fight corruption and keep its promises. He defended TVK candidate Sathyabama's switch from the AIADMK, saying there was no political bargaining.
