Traders withdrew their "No UPI Day" protest planned for October 2 after meeting Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. They oppose a proposed 0.4 per cent fee on merchant UPI transactions above Rs 2,000, saying it burdens small businesses. The fee starts October 15. NPCI said transactions up to Rs 2,000, over 96 per cent of UPI volume, remain free.
