LPG consumers must complete biometric Aadhaar authentication from October 1, 2026, to receive subsidised domestic refills. Those already authenticated need not repeat the process. Consumers without authentication can still buy cylinders at market prices. The government says the move aims to curb duplicate and ineligible connections and ensure subsidies.
