National Security Adviser Ajit Doval recalled a tense intelligence mission in Sikkim when a team he sent near the China border was captured and interrogated by Chinese forces. Speaking at IIT Roorkee, Doval said he feared his career was over. An inquiry later cleared him, finding defects in maps supplied by headquarters had caused the incident.
