The final candidate lists for the Madurantakam and Dharapuram Assembly bypolls will be released today after the withdrawal deadline. In Madurantakam, 28 nominations were accepted from 48 applicants. In Dharapuram, 22 were accepted from 51. Major parties, including DMK, AIADMK, TVK, CPI and CPI(M), are preparing for the October 6 polls.
