Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has announced an 8% dearness allowance hike for employees. Employee unions met him in Chandigarh on Friday, after which the government agreed to the increase. It will be paid in two 4% instalments, raising DA to 50%. The higher amount will be released with this month's salary, offering festive relief to employees and pensioners.
