Nandigram Bypoll: TMC Backs Congress

Mamata Banerjee announced that her TMC will back Congress in the October 6 Nandigram byelection and in Assam's Nagaon Lok Sabha seat. This came after her candidate Sanchita Pradhan Dey withdrew following a meeting with CM Suvendu Adhikari. Mamata vowed to keep fighting after losing her party's name and symbol, saying Rahul Gandhi and Arvind Kejriwal backed her.
