Nagas To Receive 39 Colonial-Era Human Remains

Oxford University's Pitt Rivers Museum will return the ancestral remains of 39 Naga people taken during Britain’s colonial rule to northeast India. The university approved a restitution request by the Forum for Naga Reconciliation. Collected in the early 20th century, some remains were publicly displayed until 2020. A handover ceremony is being planned.
