The Supreme Court has set aside an NGT order holding the Art of Living Foundation responsible for damaging the Yamuna floodplain during its 2016 World Culture Festival. The court accepted the Foundation’s appeal and directed the DDA to refund ₹5 crore collected as compensation. The event was held after obtaining permission from the DDA.
