Jan Suraaj Party founder Prashant Kishor today took oath as the Bankipur MLA in the Bihar Assembly after winning the by-election by 19,324 votes. Calling his new role a big responsibility, Kishor said serving in a House associated with several prominent Bihar leaders was a matter of pride. His victory ended the BJP's long-standing hold over Bankipur since 1995.
