The Supreme Court directed Karnataka to comply with CWMA directions on releasing Cauvery water to Tamil Nadu. While Tamil Nadu alleged inadequate compliance, Karnataka said releases exceeded 12,000 cusecs. The Bench observed that Karnataka was not refusing water altogether and ordered continued compliance. The matter will be reviewed next week.
