The Supreme Court allowed TMC MP Abhishek Banerjee to travel abroad for three weeks in September for eye treatment. The court overturned the Calcutta High Court’s refusal and said everyone has the right to travel and choose medical treatment. Banerjee must travel on his diplomatic passport and submit his itinerary, hospital and flight details.
