The Defence Ministry has printed the full lyrics of 'Vande Mataram' on Independence Day invitation cards for the first time. The national song will be performed before the national anthem at the Red Fort ceremony. The move marks its 150th anniversary and follows a new law giving 'Vande Mataram' the same legal status as the national anthem.
