Big Boost! AP To Procure 1,600 MW Thermal Power

Andhra Pradesh govt is set to procure 1,600 MW of coal-based thermal power to meet rising electricity demand. The AP Electricity Regulatory Commission has granted in-principle approval for competitive bidding under Section 63 of the Electricity Act, 2003. The procurement will also be the first phase of the State's planned thermal capacity expansion scheme.
