The NHRC has sought a report from the Madhya Pradesh government after an eight-year-old Dalit student was allegedly beaten and abused by a teacher in Shivpuri. The teacher reportedly assaulted the boy for drinking water from his bottle and used casteist slurs. The Commission asked officials to submit a detailed report within two weeks.
