The Centre told the Lok Sabha that no complaints about the autonomy, editorial functioning or appointments of public broadcasters were received from journalists, employees or media bodies in the past year. However, seven complaints related to appointments were filed. The government also extended the BIND scheme for Prasar Bharati until March 2027.
