India added another medal to its tally at the 2026 Commonwealth Games as Raja Muthupandi claimed silver in the men's 65kg weightlifting event with a total lift of 286kg. Boxer Jadumani Singh defeated Pakistan's Sumama Rehman 5-0 to reach the men's 55kg quarterfinals, while Preeti Pawar advanced in the women's 54kg category after beating Malawi's Deborah Mtenje.
