The United States launched fresh airstrikes on Iran early Monday after a US service member was killed and another injured in Iraq during a controlled detonation of a downed Iranian drone, CENTCOM said. President Donald Trump said the strikes honoured fallen troops, adding they were fighting to ensure Iran does not develop nuclear weapons.
