TGSRTC driver Shankar Goud’s family received ₹90.85 lakh under the Cheyutha welfare scheme after his death in April. Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar handed over the financial aid and announced a job for Goud’s son, Hemanth, besides sanctioning a house for the family. He also said the RTC merger process will begin after union elections.
