SC Takes Up Asaram Plea, Seeks Response From Rajasthan

The Supreme Court issued notice to the Rajasthan government on Asaram's plea challenging the High Court judgment that upheld his conviction and life sentence in a 2013 minor rape case. A bench of Justices M.M. Sundresh and Sheel Nagu sought a response but declined interim relief on medical grounds. The matter is scheduled for further hearing on July 13.
