Benchmark indices ended lower for a second consecutive session as IT, auto, and metal shares declined. The Sensex fell 143 points, with Nifty settling at 22,811. Eternal, Bajaj Finance, and Eicher Motors were the top Nifty50 losers. MidCap and SmallCap indices dropped 1.58% and 2.37%. Chemicals, consumer durables, and metals declined most, while Nifty IT gained.
