The Supreme Court directed the Andhra Pradesh State Election Commission to defer publishing the final list of candidates for upcoming urban local body polls until October 26. Acting on a plea by the YSRCP alleging candidates were blocked from filing nominations, the bench ordered adequate security and fair electoral proceedings across the state.
