Prices of essential fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), including soaps, detergents, biscuits and cooking oils, may rise again across India from December 2026. Companies are also considering fresh hikes after the festive season as palm oil and sugar prices have surged by 18% to 21%. FMCG firms had previously raised product prices by 2% to 5% in June 2026.
