Telangana Urges Public To Protect Palapitta During Dasara

The Humane World for Animals India and the Telangana Forest Department urged people to report the illegal capture or display of the palapitta, Telangana’s state bird, ahead of Dasara. The bird is often trapped and harmed due to beliefs about good luck. People can report such cases to the Forest Department at 9803338666 or 1800-425-5364.
