Democracy Doesn’t Run On Blind Faith: Smriti Irani

Smriti Irani backed an open letter by 124 former civil servants supporting the Election Commission’s voter list revision. The officers criticised the Opposition for calling elections “rigged” without evidence. Irani said democracy needs checks, transparency and judicial oversight, accusing the Opposition of questioning results only when it loses.
