The Supreme Court today declined to pass an interim order seeking suspension of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar and issued notices to the EC, Kumar and two Election Commissioners. A bench headed by CJI Surya Kant was hearing petitions challenging alleged unilateral decisions by Kumar regarding the Special Intensive Revision exercise.
