Hyderabad Meat Shops To Stay Shut For Gandhi Jayanti

All slaughterhouses and retail meat and beef shops under Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation limits will remain closed on October 2, 2026. The civic body issued the directive following a Standing Committee resolution in view of Gandhi Jayanti. GHMC Commissioner R V Karnan asked police officials to assist in enforcing the total closure across the city.
