Telangana Reviews Plan To Arm Excise Officials

Telangana Excise Commissioner C. Hari Kiran reviewed a proposal to give firearms to excise officials. He said any weapons use must be coordinated with the Police Department. He told officials to strictly watch for drug and non-duty-paid liquor violations, speed up collection of excise rental fees from bars and shops, and guide people applying for new bar licences.
