The Indian women's team will play its first-ever international matches in Kolkata, facing Russia in two friendlies on October 8 and 11, 2026. It is India's first outing since winning the SAFF Women's Championship in June 2026. India is ranked 69th, Russia 27th. Coach Crispin Chettri said the games will help develop young players.
