EAM S. Jaishankar rebuked Pakistan at the UN General Assembly, referring to it as a “serial practitioner of terrorism". He accused Islamabad of misrepresenting facts and attempting to normalise terrorism. Jaishankar said India would exercise its right to defend itself and stressed that friendship and goodwill cannot coexist with terrorism.
