Shashi Tharoor called reports of differences within the Election Commission a "catastrophic assault" on democracy. He said changes were made without two Election Commissioners' consent and that voters were deprived of their rights. He cited Goa, where 97 people lost voting and dialysis access. He urged all citizens, including BJP members, to unite to defend democracy.
