Devrani-Jethani Feud Decides Key Rajasthan Municipal Poll

Congress's Vinita Punia won the Khatu Shyamji municipal chairperson election with 10 votes against BJP's Prem Devi's nine. The contest became a devarani-jethani battle: Congress councillor Lakshmi Devi, Prem Devi's sister-in-law, didn't vote. The BJP sought postponement, but Rajasthan High Court ordered results based on the 19 votes cast.
