IAS officer Mandeep K Bhandari has been appointed as the new CBSE chairman. He is a 2001-batch AGMUT cadre officer and an MBBS graduate who served in Jammu and Kashmir and at the Centre. His appointment comes after CBSE faced criticism over its On-Screen Marking system, with students reporting blurred scans, missing pages, and wrong answer sheets.
