FSSAI Moves To Ban Fake Paneer Making And Sale

FSSAI has proposed banning the manufacture and sale of 'analogue paneer', made from non-dairy ingredients but sold as paneer. The draft rule aims to prevent misleading consumers. Many states already ban it. Companies must stop using the term 'paneer' for such products. FSSAI also acted against e-commerce platforms like Amazon, Swiggy Instamart and Zepto.
