The BJP spent ₹529.38 crore during Assembly elections in Assam, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Kerala, and West Bengal, according to expenditure reports submitted to the Election Commission. West Bengal accounted for ₹286 crore, over half the total. The party spent ₹217.16 crore on campaigning and ₹69.83 crore on candidate-related expenses there.
