Indian Army Tanks Get Major ₹586 Cr Boost

The Defence Ministry has signed a ₹586 crore contract with Accurate Industrial Controls to equip the Army’s T-72 and T-90 tanks with locally developed Auxiliary Power Units. The APUs will support fire-control, firing and gun-stabilisation systems, reducing reliance on main engines for onboard electrical needs during sustained operations.
