The Andhra Pradesh govt has accorded State Festival status to the birth anniversary of renowned Telugu poet Gurajada Apparao, celebrated on Sept 21. The decision has been welcomed by poets and writers from the Konaseema region. Several literary figures, including Nadakuditi, Channagiri Latha Mohan and Dovari, expressed gratitude to the govt for the special GO.
