26 Sixes! Shafali Verma Smashes Rare T20 Record

Indian star opener Shafali Verma has entered an elite T20I record book after smashing 26 sixes in one calendar year. She now ranks second behind Sri Lanka captain Chamari Athapaththu, who hit 32 sixes in 2024. Harmanpreet Kaur and Sophie Devine follow with 25 and 21 sixes, respectively. Shafali also scored an unbeaten 40 off 15 balls against Japan yesterday.
