TMC Chief Mamata Faces Another Setback

Mamata Banerjee’s candidate Rabiul Alam Chowdhury has decided to withdraw from the Rejinagar bypoll, saying administrative pressure made campaigning difficult. This comes a day after her Nandigram candidate also withdrew. Congress candidate Milan Pradhan, later backed by Mamata, was arrested in an old murder case linked to the 2007 Nandigram land protests.
