The southwest monsoon has intensified across Maharashtra, bringing rain to Marathwada, Parbhani, Latur, Hingoli, Dharashiv, and Jalna today. According to the IMD, changing weather conditions over the Bay of Bengal are driving renewed monsoon activity. Rainfall could increase significantly across Maharashtra and Goa between September 20 and September 25.
