Tamil Nadu CM C. Joseph Vijay will launch the Thaimaman Gold Ring Scheme on September 28. Under the scheme, eligible babies born in government hospitals from June 22, 2026, will receive a one-gram gold ring. Mothers must be Tamil Nadu residents, registered on PICME and have an RCH ID. The first phase includes 1.28 lakh rings.
