Marathi film "Gondhal," directed by Santosh, has been selected as India's official Oscars 2027 entry from more than 30 contenders. The psychological cultural thriller follows a young bride whose manipulation involving a sacred folk tradition triggers passion, power and danger. The film premiered at IFFI Goa, winning the Silver Peacock for Special Jury Recognition.
